My Sabah Experience..

I was in Kota Kinabalu on 26 April for offcial purpose. It was my first experience there, but I must say it was a good one even if I was there only for a short while. I only managed to jalan2 sekitar KK (including a 'lone ranger' shopping tour at the Craft Market!) and a small village in Tuaran. It was not so much of sightseeing, but I was glad at least I got to experience some of the local culture and definitely, I'm looking forward for the next trip there! 8-)

Part of the Job...

Things are quite slow at the office lately- not much of paperwork and to date, we’ve been only organizing two events - which are very unusual in our office yang sangat meriah dengan event!

So before I lost my momentum with this ‘slow’ life, I’ve uploaded some photos taken during our last year’s events as a remembrance of the kekalutan in organizing them. As most of the time I’m with the organizing part, so not much of berposing2 photos. But luckily our photographer just ‘lurvve’ to take candid photos-that explains why my pics are like makcik kepoh,-actually tengah kerja tu.. :P

Me at Hong Kong

I was in Hong Kong from 14-17 January 2008. My knowledge on Hong Kong was limited to only what I had seen on those Cantonese drama series especially masa zaman sekolah rendah dulu! :-D So here are some of the live action photos taken during my stay there. I wrote about my whole experience there in my blog, but all in all what I can say about HK is that it is a colorful city, with high-rise buildings every where, and one could not help but to notice the similiarity of the city to Singapore, including the cleanliness part!!

Malam Anugerah Wanita Ikon 2007

The year 2007 has been great for me and what a better way to end it, but with glitz and glamour! (or so I thought!) All thanks to The Boss who had been kind enough to tag us along to attend this a gala dinner which was held in conjunction with the final round of Anugerah Wanita Ikon 2007.

It was a stress free night (at least for us who had always been at the organizing part of an event) and we really enjoyed the red carpet treatment and not forgetting jumped at every photos opportunities. Therefore, I should really reserve my comments on other aspects of the programmes..=)

I came back home that night with this little discovery which I would like to share - with great make-up and outfit (which not necessarily expensive!), everybody can be somebody!

DPA Convocation 2007

These are some of the pictures taken during our Convocation which was been held at Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).

For those who don't know about this DPA thing, actually it stands for Diploma Pengurusan Awam -one of the requirements for those who are in this service to get the confirmation

It was a great day, but personally I treasure the rehearsal day even more as we had the chance to spare lots more time catching up and it was protocol free... :-D

I dedicate this song "Graduation Day" by Vitamin C to my dearest friends.......

And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives
Where we're gonna be when we turn 25

I keep thinking times will never change
Keep on thinking things will always be the same
But when we leave this year we won't be coming back
No more hanging out cause we're on a different track

And if you got something that you need to say
You better say it right now cause you don't have another day
Cause we're moving on and we can't slow down
These memories are playing like a film without sound
And I keep thinking of that night in June
I didn't know much of love
But it came too soon
And there was me and you
And then we got real blue
Stay at home talking on the telephone
We would get so excited and we'd get so scared
Laughing at ourselves thinking life's not fair
And this is how it feels

As we go on
We remember
All the times we
Had together
And as our lives change
Come Whatever
We will still be
Friends Forever

Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now?
Can we survive it out there?
Can we make it somehow?

I guess I thought that this would never end
And suddenly it's like we're women and men
Will the past be a shadow that will follow us 'round?
Will these memories fade when I leave this town
I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly

My Trip To the Land of The Vikings Part II-Norway

Oslo, Norway was our second stop for the working visit. We were there from October 27th to 30th.

We took a local carrier to get to the there from Stockholm’s Arlanda Airport. Being a truly Malaysian, I couldn’t help but to miss our local carrier hospitality 8-) I mean, yes the journey was short, but the atmosphere inside was different and the cabin crew were rather stern (macam makcik-makcik style diaorang) :P

The Bristol Hotel where we stayed has the neo-Renaissance touch. We were so used to the contemporary-minimalist interior of most of the hotels that we’d been, so the chance to stay in a very Baroque hotel was rather an interesting experience, as though we were living in a different century!

Oslo was pricier than Stockolm and definitely chillier!! But the scenery was as great even at that time of the year. But our schedule was pack, so the only jalan-jalan moment masa rushing between the meetings aje. So gambar pun kurang ler... ;-)

My Trip To the Land of The Vikings Part I- Sweden

These are the pictures taken during my working visit to Stockholm, Sweden. I was there from 25-27 October 2007 with 9 other delegations from Malaysia.

The average temperature was about 4 degree C, so with the thermal clothing and all, x leh nak bergaya sangat lah.... ;-)

It was my first trip abroad, so lebih sikit ler perasaan excited tu...tambah excited lagi when we got the opportunity to meet Mejar Dr Faiz. He was on his way back to Malaysia from Moscow after Dr. Sheikh had completed the all-important mission to the space. We were supposed to have a dinner together with him as arranged by the consulate, but his flight was late, so he missed the dinner.

But we bumped into him on our way back to the hotel. We stayed at the same hotel and even went to the airport the same time on the following day...he was very nice, humble and even better looking than in the picture!!!
